Our homeland native, the Dusuns, are well-known for their massages – Dusun Lotud Inan (The Paddy Field Massage), Palad or Palm of Hand (The Palm Massage) and The Mountain Massage.. The fact that massage has been recognized as a part of the cultural lifestyles dated back as far as historical records go and is an indication of its legitimacy in our modern lives.
Set in a quiet and convenient location in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, Malaysian Borneo, Jari Jari Spa, (Sabah), offers a discreet environment with six private suites, two of them designed for treatments for couples or, perhaps, a mother and daughter.
Jari Jari Spa, (Sabah) is tastefully decorated using Borneo hardwood, sandstone and wild jungle plants. The smell of local lemongrass, lavender and palm leaves makes you feel like you just want to stay for the whole day.

The Jari Jari Spa (Sabah) experience begins – even without words – the moment you enter the reception area, where a massive stone slab more than 50 million years old serves as a reminder of the huge stone megaliths used as a symbol of power and prestige by local Borneo (Sabah) tribes. The power of the stone is balanced by the sound of tricking water and the barely perceptible music, enhanced by the gentle warmth of burning candles and the fragrance of local flowers, herbs and spices.
You are greeted by our multi-lingual receptionists, who take into account your nationality and cultural preferences and carefully explain the spa services and products. When a treatment has been selected, you are screened verbally for any health problems or preferences, and then enjoy a glass of soothing ginger tea or layo tea. Following this, you are invited to relax in a contoured wooden chair while enjoying a warm Dusunic floral foot soak, in a rustic wooden foot tub lined with soothes Kinabalu pebbles.
After a foot scrub with coffee borneo, you are ushered to your treatment room and left to change into a batik sarong or robe before experiencing the particular therapy you have selected. Throughout the treatment, the sensitivity and ability to anticipate needs shown by our Indigenous native therapists ensure a matchless experience for all our guests.
